10km A Day Challenge Completed

Blogathon Post 4/30

The 10km a day challenge is finally completed! I still prefer to call this the 70km per week challenge. But anyway, I did it and managed the 3650km two weeks before the year was done. My final stats look like this:

Week 2: 80                    Week 28: 68
Week 3: 83                    Week 29: 66
Week 4: 69                    Week 30: 73

Week 16: 76                  Week 42: 83
Week 17: 79                  Week 43: 87
Week 18: 87                  Week 44: 79
Week 19: 81                  Week 45: 74
Week 20: 63                  Week 46: 55
Week 21: 84                  Week 47: 84
Week 22: 29                  Week 48: 94
Week 23: 80                  Week 49: 75
Week 24: 43                  Week 50: 81
Week 25: 78                  Week 51: 79
Week 26: 74                  Week 52: 91

So 3834km (2382 miles) done in the year. Not bad at all.

Although I won't formally do this again I do hope to run more than 4000km in the same period for 2013/2014. If I can train and race as planned I will achieve this quite comfortably.

Happy training everyone!

I CAN believe you did this because I've been following along all year, but it's still hard to believe such consistency!! Amazing! Congratulations on a big accomplishment!

Well done, the total is there, but what is good it that you didn't have to many weeks below that 70 mark, so you didn't need to kill yourself with any really big weeks.

So impressive, Johann! I love how you set a goal and will chip away at it, no matter how that goal varies. Great job on the 10ks....reminds me I should crawl out of bed and get hitting the road for a run ;).
